Three Seeds Naturals beauty giveaway

We are giving away your choice of a little slice of Three Seeds spa heaven. Don’t miss your chance to win after the review.

We are entering that season, you know the one: dry hands, cracked feet, scaly elbows.

Yep. Ew.

That was why I was excited to open the package from Three Seeds Naturals. I felt like I had entered a spa in my home…and just in time.

One of the great things about having my own online shop full of only items that I’ve tried and liked is that I get to work directly with the small business owners. In the case of Three Seeds Naturals, owner Sarah Maloy and I hit it off–bonding immediately over Sock Monkey hats. (And you know how I feel about those.) Our warped senses of humor connected so well that–prior to receiving the products–I wondered if it would bias my opinion of the products. I mean, I loved Sarah, what if I hated her products? Since I only review products in which I believe, I was concerned that I would have to say, “I like you; I hate your products. Can we be besties?” Thankfully, the products of Three Seeds Naturals are so awesome that it wasn’t an issue. (Dear Sarah: Now can we be besties?!?)

Three Seeds Naturals products are based on the belief that “simpler is better and natural is best.” Because of this, Three Seeds handmakes all of their products in small batches without phthalates (you know, that yucky plasticizing substance we don’t want to use in baby bottles or other kids’ stuff and makeup). They also use the non-chemical, paraban-free preservatives and gentle fragrances.

Sarah sent me an awesome sampling of products from their extensive line. Check out my thoughts on each of them:

WritRams Three Seeds Naturals Lip BalmVanilla Peppermint Lip Balm

Honestly, I’m not a big fan of peppermint lip balms. I usually find the peppermint taste and smell overwhelming. However, the peppermint in the Three Seeds Vanilla Peppermint Lip Balm is completely understated. I’m not sure if it’s the vanilla (which I love) that tones it down, but it certainly works for me. It almost has a hint of chocolate in there. The texture is also a super creamy Shea and Cocoa butter and is completely “non-waxy.” Although I have only tried this “flavor” so far, it comes in a cute sachet bag set with four other flavors: Lemon Mint, Coconut Lime, Almond Vanilla and Signature Pomegranate.

Everyday Body LotionWritRams Three Seeds Naturals lotion

I’m addicted to lotion, especially travel-sized lotion that I can throw in my purse, the diaper bag or leave in my car. Three Seeds has an awesome “travel-approved” set that includes five 2-ounce bottles in the scents of Fresh Lemongrass, Vanilla Fig, Signature Pomegranate, Coconut Lime and Almond Vanilla. I tried the Fresh Lemongrass, a super-clean (more grass, less lemon) scent, the Vanilla Fig, a richer, muskier smell perfect for the holidays, and Signature Pomegranate, my personal favorite for its light berry smell. All of the lotions are creamy, but don’t leave that wet, heavy feel of some other lotions. If you’re looking for larger than travel size, try the 8 ounce bottle four pack.

NOTE: I did not try any products with the Almond Vanilla scent. Sticking with my “only promoting stuff I’ve tried and liked” review promise, I did not add that scent to my shop. However, if you are interested in that scent, let me know. I’m happy to add it.

Ultra Moisturizing Cream

I usually don’t like the heavy thickness of moisturizing creams. However, the Three Seeds Ultra Moisturizing Cream goes on smooth and soaks right in, not feeling thick or pasty at all. This definitely isn’t your grandmother’s moisturizing cream! You can get the creams in a fantastic four-pack, or choose scents Coconut Lime, Fresh Lemongrass, Vanilla Fig, Signature Pomegranate, or unscented separately.

Sugar Body ScrubWritRams 3 Seeds Naturals body scrub

Three Seeds Naturals is really onto something with their Sugar Body Scrub. Somehow, they figured out how to put that luxurious spa feeling right into a tiny container in your home. It reminded me of this fantastic spa treatment I had on a cruise one time. The oil-based scrub uses the sugar as a natural exfoliator and rinses off to leave a fresh skin feeling. If you want to take a virtual trip to the Bahamas, order the Coconut Lime scented sugar scrub paired with the moisturizing cream, or order alone in the Coconut Lime, Signature Pomegranate, Vanilla Fig, or Fresh Lemongrass scents.

Three Seeds Naturals also has great gift sets like the Deluxe Scent of the Season set (body scrub, lotion, moisturizing cream, lip balm in a clear gift tote with a scrubber), or the Mini Exfoliating Gift Set (sugar scrub and lotion in an eco-friendly gift bag).
