Super Bowl commercial unlocks new Angry Birds level

For many, Super Bowl commercials are some of the best part of the big game. For Angry Birds game lovers, those commercials just got better.

During the fourth quarter, Angry Birds will run a commercial with an embedded code that will unlock a secret level to the popular game. The code also links to a sweepstakes trip to Rio de Janeiro for the premier of Fox’s animated movie “Rio.”

The Super Bowl commercial focuses on a new app–Angry Birds Rio–coinciding with the movie release in March.

Angry Birds is a popular (and apparently addictive) game for smart phones and tablets like the iPad.

Really? Hmmm…I could use a trip to Rio–I went there as a kid, but was not old enough to appreciate it (though I do remember body surfing there and that was awesome). And you *know* I love me some Angry Birds :)
