According to BBC News London, a new culinary treat is coming to our friends across the pond. Namely? Human breast milk ice cream made from the donations of women who answered an online advertisement.
The human breast milk is “mixed with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest” and churned into an ice cream flavor the shop is calling Baby Gaga.
Matt O’Connor, the shop’s owner, says that all of the milk is screened for health precautions, much the same way as in the health care industry.
“If it’s good enough for our children, it’s good enough for the rest of us,” O’Connor told BBC.
However, at around 15 British pounds–or about $23 U.S.–per serving, the ice cream may be out of reach for most palates.
