Andy Who?

Andy Cohen got the 411…

When tuning into The Real Housewives of anything I always tell people to stay tuned to Watch What Happens Live after the Housewives episode. Host Andy Cohen has guests on from seasons present and past. He gives all of the inside scoop and–for Bravo followers–he offers behind the scenes information and updates. It really gives information you might not normally know. He also has some big names to join him in “the bravo clubhouse.” Andy is entertaining and not afraid to call people out.  He’s flamboyant in a fun way (that’s not annoying), but still a little sassy and crazy!

The thing that most people don’t know about Andy Cohen is how successful he really is. Andy Cohen is the Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development.  He is responsible for overseeing the network’s development and production slate for pretty much ALL of the reality shows on Bravo.  Some of our favorites include Top Chef, all of the Housewives, Bethenny Ever After, Project Runway, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and…well, so many more. It seems like any of our favorite Bravo shows find Andy Cohen behind them.

Prior to all of his work on Bravo, he was the Vice President for Original Programming for TRIO–a NBC Universal outlet. He was the Senior Producer for The Early Show and the producer for 48 hours and CBS This Morning. He’s been nominated for a number of Emmys and in 2010 he won a Emmy for Executive Producer of Outstanding Competitive Reality Series, Top Chef.  He has all of this success and is only 42 years old.
He is a HUGE blogger and was actually named “hottest blogger of 2006” by OUT magazine. He has a BA degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University.

His resume is quite impressive and his guests are, too. He runs all of the reunion specials and I can admit that I spent my New Year’s Eve recording his New Year’s Eve special just so I could hear Kim from the Atlanta Housewives cast sing her single “Tardy for the Party.”

If you are a Bravo fan or a Housewives fan, set your recorders to record Watch What Happens Live.  You won’t be disappointed.

Andy Cohen’s got the 411…just watch the show, you’ll understand.

although i just remembered that bethenny was on “apprentice: martha stewart” back in the day, so bethenny is basically donald trump’s fault. sorry for blaming andy for that one.
