‘Real Housewives’ Takes Show on the Road

In what may be the worst stage show idea since Charlie Sheen took his crazy on the road, Bravo has decided to squeeze even more money out of their hit “Real Housewives” franchises by taking the show on the road to a city near you…if you’re lucky.

On Friday, August 19, tickets will go on sale for live stage shows in three cities–Atlantic City, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, and the Chicago suburb of Hammond, Indiana.

Tickets will range from $49 to $170.

Although it’s unclear exactly what the Housewives will be discussing and how the show will be set up, Ellen Stone, Bravo’s senior vice president of marketing, stated that it will give viewers a chance to interact with their favorite Housewives.

“With ‘The Real Housewives’ Live Tour, we are able to give our fans a unique, hands-on experience with their favorite cast members across franchises that they can’t experience anywhere else,” Stone said in a press release.

In New Jersey, you can meet Housewives Caroline Manzo, LuAnn de Lesseps, Kyle Richards and Vicki Gunvalson.

The Hammond, Indiana, show spotlights Sonja Morgan, Gretchen Rossi, Lisa Vanderpump and Phaedra Parks.

Atlanta includes Nene Leakes, Jill Zarin, Melissa Gorga and Marysol Patton.

So, “Housewives” fans, will you be shelling out the cash to see your favorite ladies live?

Really? REALLY? Yes, I watch the shows, so I am part of the problem, but…REALLY?

And why Hammond of all places? Chicago didn’t want them?

Totally with you on this one, Crystal. I love the “Housewives” shows, but no way would I pay those prices to see them “live”—WHY?!?

At least with Bethenny Frankel, she was doing some motivational/nutrition speaking. What else can these ladies together in a live show tell us that we don’t already see from the shows or the reunions.

I hate to say it, but Bravo fails on this one.
