Birthing Blog Babies

We are mourning celebrating at our house. Our last child at home moved into his first apartment with his new wife and child. The youngest moved into her first real apartment after being in temporary housing for 2 months. And, the older two have been doing their own thing for a long time now.

When the nest starts emptying, parents–especially mothers–usually start looking for something else to fill their time. For me, that was blogging. I started my first blog in May of 2010, Ramblings of a Woman. And, I did ramble quite a bit. I haven’t really added much lately, but you are welcome to check out my firstborn blog if you’d like.

Then, in November 2010, I gave birth to Living the Balanced Life, which has been my passion. On Ramblings I wrote about how I was feeling and thinking, at LTBL my goal was to help others avoid or overcome burnout and learn from my mistakes. A lot of the posts are meant to make you think long and hard about your life.

While I love Living the Balanced Life, I was looking for a place I could provide resources and tangible help for busy, over-stressed moms. Hence, I have birthed another site (actually two more, LOL!)–The Successful Woman’s Guides is a resource center to provide help in all areas of a woman’s life.

By resources, I mean ebooks on subjects that are important to us, products to make our lives easier, and services to help us improve our quality of life. Not that it is just a “store,” there will be posts with more practical everyday information to handle the craziness of life, too.

And … I wrote another e-book, which resulted in the second new blog, The Successful Woman’s Guide to Working from Home. This is a book for helping work-at-home moms get “everything” done. (And, Prime Parents Club founder and editor Jackie Wilson happens to have a chapter in it!) The site is not really a blog, but a home for the e-book.

Whew! It has been a busy few weeks. My husband says I really need to get another hobby. Or a job. But then who would take care of my babies?
