Outback Steakhouse Gives Kids Alcohol

There has been yet another bizarre kid-alcohol related restaurant happening–this time at Outback Steakhouse.

According to Action News 7, Kelly Kerwin and her 4-year-old daughter had dinner … and drinks … at a Cincinnati area Outback Steakhouse.

While waiting for their seats, the family was offered samples of frozen drinks from a waitress. The parents were assured that they were non-alcoholic. They soon learned otherwise.

Upon notifying management, the family was given free dinner and the owner later apologized to the family, even agreeing to make a donation to the Kerwin family’s church to make it better. Later, he retracted the offer and told Kerwin to contact his attorneys.

Do you check your children’s drinks when dining out?

(Better start.)

I don’t check my kid’s drinks but I guess I need to start!

How horrible that he offered a donation to their church and then retracted it. I understand the legal reasons behind it, but it’s still disappointing.
