Lindsay Lohan, A History of Troubles

Linsday Lohan’s troubles began in 2007 when she was arrested for two DUI charges in a two-month span. In both arrests, cocaine was found in her car. She did three stints in rehab, had an ankle bracelet attached to monitor her sobriety, was assessed 10 days of community service, received 3 years of probation, and served one day in jail…84 minutes.

In 2009, her probation was extended an extra year because Lohan failed to attend court-ordered substance abuse treatment classes. Lohan then kicked off 2010 by not showing up for a DUI hearing. She was ordered to wear an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet again, attend weekly alcohol education classes, and undergo random drug tests. On July 6, 2010, Lohan’s judge determined that she had violated her probation and was sentenced to 90 days in jail (which she only served 14), and was ordered to complete a three-month rehab program (she only stayed 23 days before her release). Two months later, she failed a drug test and was ordered for a three-month rehab stay at Betty Ford Center–of which she stayed the entire time.

In 2011, Lohan was charged with stealing a necklace and she served 35 days under house arrest. During those 35 days, she failed another drug test but was not forced to do additional time or punishment. In October 2011, the judge revoked her probation and sent her back to jail with a $100,000 bond, and she was ordered to do 16 hours a week of community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue before her next hearing on November 2, 2011, which she could face up to months back in jail. Rumors also started swirling because, during her court case, both of her cheeks looked slightly bruised. Signs of some “procedure” had been rumored. The following day she arrived 40 minutes late to the morgue and was turned away. She shows up on time the next day and does 8 hours of time well spent.

Also in October, Lohan appeared at a red carpet event without the beautiful white teeth she once had, but instead displayed a decayed yellow smile, fueling rumors (supposedly originating from her father) that she’s either smoked too much crack or meth to do that kind of damage to her front teeth. In the past few days, her father Michael, who also has a history of drug abuse and many legal issues, was arrested and being held in custody for an alleged domestic abuse case. And her mother, which has been known for partying with her daughter, has announced she is writing a tell-all book where she blames Lindsay’s representation and friends for her bad decisions.

In October 2011, Lindsay posed for Playboy, reportedly landing a $1 million dollar paycheck. Her mother announced after the shoot that it “went well.”

What happens next to Lindsay Lohan time only time will tell, but the future doesn’t look too bright for this childhood star.

I think her biggest problem is her crazy parents. Her dad is just a nut, and her mom seems to be one of those people who wanted to be her kid’s best friend rather than her parent.

That being said, she is an adult now, and she needs to take responsibility for her actions. I really hope she can clean up her act, but it doesn’t look good.

I hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t see her story ending in a good way. There seems to be absolutely no remorse or holding herself accountable. Sad. /jackie
