Hollywood Update, November 30

Here’s your weekly recap of the recent Hollywood happenings:

Hollywood Connections and Splits

Kim Kardashian: The marriage story that won't go away.Kim Kardashian may have demanded a divorce after being married to Kris Humphries for only 72 hours, but they are still married until they can come to some sort of settlement. After Kim filed for divorce, Kris demanded an annulment claiming fraud. He believes that Kim only saw the wedding as a publicity stunt (please try to contain your shock and anger). This week Kim’s attorneys asked the judge to make Kris’s attorneys either proceed with their case or agree to the divorce. Kris’s attorneys recently deposed Kim’s new boyfriend Kanye West, and claim that documents they requested have not been turned over yet. I guess if you want to pull a publicity stunt like this, you should make sure the other person is on board or you could end up with one giant headache.

Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman were photographed together at LAX sparking rumors that they could be reconciling. They had been together for over forty years and married for thirty. I hope these two work it out because I’m quickly losing faith in Hollywood marriages.

Week In Television

Chad Michael Murray (formerly of One Tree Hill) will be appearing in the next season of Southland.  He will play a likable, but bad boy cop. I have been waiting for Chad Michael Murray to return to TV. Time for me to go catch up on Southland before the new season starts!

Finally for some Real Housewives news that has been confirmed by Bravo. Kim Zolciak will be leaving Real Housewives of Atlanta. December 2 will be her final episode. Don’t worry though, we will still get to follow her every move on a second season of her spinoff series Don’t Be Tardy …

Celebrity Tidbits & Ramblings

Chris Brown deleted his Twitter account after tweeting a series of horribly offensive comments to comedian Jenny Johnson. I recently wrote about whether or not we should let go of what Chris Brown did and let him move forward. However, it’s becoming painfully clear that he has a lot of anger inside of him and until he deals with those issues, he will never be able to move forward in life or in his career.

Angus Jones of Two and a Half Men was recorded saying that Two and a Half Men is filth and begging people not to watch the show. The video made it to YouTube and instantly made headlines. He quickly released a statement apologizing and claiming that he has a lot of respect for the people he works with and did not intend any disrespect to the people who work on the show. I’m not exactly sure how you can bash a show but not intend to bash the people who created it and the people who act in it. I feel bad for Chuck Lorre. His actors seem to be so completely ungrateful, aside from Jon Cryer.

What was the most surprising, interesting, shocking or even boring Hollywood tidbit for you this week?

Ok, first I don’t even care about Kim Z. ANNOYING.

Second, I think it’s ok for the 2 1/2 Men kid (heh) to have a change of heart based on his spiritual beliefs, I just don’t think his “bashing” was how he should’ve backed away from something he no longer believed in.

Third, and most importantly, if I never heard the names KIM KARDASHIAN or CHRIS BROWN again EVER, the world would be a better place.

100% agreed about Kim K. and Chris Brown!!

Also agree about Angus Jones. I am all for people finding religious and/or spiritual guidance and having faith in something. If he believes that TV is bad, more power to him. I find it completely unacceptable to look down on the people watching the show, the people who are a daily part of creating the show, and the people who gave you a once in a lifetime chance to make a name for yourself. Doing it publicly is even worse.
