2013 Change | What Can Your Family Do in 52? #DoIn52
For the past couple of months I’ve been giving serious thought on how we can improve some things in our family. When I sat down to make a list of things–health, spending, quality time together, being more organized–I realized that these are issues I’ve discussed many times with other parents over the past year on PrimeParentsClub.com.
So, what’s the answer?
The choices are: 1. Keep on going the same way and get to the end of 2013 and think, “Crap. Nothing changed. AGAIN.” or, 2. Make a small change or a couple of small changes each week in 2013–for 52 weeks–and get to end of the year and realize we’ve made some really positive changes for the year … and it wasn’t even that painful!
(Pssst: We’re choosing #2, won’t you?)
Join Us for #DoIn52
So, we’ve decided to provide 52 weeks of small changes across different areas of your family life–food, health, finances, technology, time together and more–you name it, we’ll probably cover it.
We’re calling it Do in 52, for things you can change in 52 weeks, or one entire year of 2013. It will be changes that you can pick up at any point in time … you can even go back and start at the beginning if you missed any!
If you have a specific area you’d like to change in your family, leave it in the comments and we’ll try to add it into our schedule of prompts!
Watch for the first #DoIn52 prompt later this week! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #DoIn52 when tweeting to let others know how excited you are to make subtle changes throughout the year for a big impact on your family at the end of 2013.
Who wants to join us? Leave what you would like to change in your family in the comments.

Love it! I’d like to have family reading time, where we all unplug (literally sometimes) and sit reading our own books for even just 30 minutes.
LOVE this idea!! I would like to see more “unplugged” time, personal time, dinner/together time. (Sensing a theme – more TIME!) I would also like to be more organized for meals, working out, etc. My resolution is to spend more time planning ahead for the week on the weekends – anything around that would be great!
You are both going to LOVE our first #DoIn52 change, then! :) Watch for it this week! /jackie
I want us to spend more time in the moment. My almost 13 year old is following our example of always being “connected” to some device. It’s time to end that now.
I’m with Stacy! It seems like all of my family members have their noses stuck in some type of electronic device, whether it be a computer, cell phone or the TV. I’d like us to get out of the house more and enjoy each others company, spending some quality family time together. On a budget. Possible?
