Turmeric: New Weight Loss Magic?
A couple of months into 2013 I got sick … really sick. And then? I got sick again. It ended up being a couple of straight months in the bed sick. When I finally emerged from the fog, I just couldn’t get my body back on track. My hair was falling out, I felt weak, my digestion was off, and things just didn’t feel right. So, I began to research some ways to reset my body, if you will.
I started taking vitamins and a couple of other things, including turmeric tablets. And then? Things started to change.
What is Turmeric?
Turmeric is a spice that you may know as Indian saffron and is used in cooking curry dishes. It is bright yellow and is used to give some foods and other items color.
Health Benefits of Turmeric
Turmeric has been used in ancient treatment for years, but the medical community is just now starting to understand the full health benefits.
It is said that turmeric can, help with indigestion, reduce inflammation, giving people with osteoarthritis relief, help prevent buildup of plaque that can block arteries and lead to heart attack or stroke and more.
My Experience with Turmeric and Weight Loss
I started taking turmeric pills for the digestive aid and, since taking it, I have experience almost no indigestion. However, I got a surprise (and much-needed) added benefit: I started to lose weight. I thought it was a fluke the first week when I lost six pounds. However, I’ve been taking it for a couple of months now and have steadily lost two to five pounds each week (without really changing my diet or exercise routine).
