3 Simple Ways to Keep Your Sanity As a Parent

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of VTech Communications. All opinions are 100% mine.

We’re parents. That means that our days are filled with juggling and multitasking. We’re running from work or commitments, to kids’ events, and then to even more commitments and kids’ events. Let’s face it, we’re tired and we’re crabby and if you add one more item to the tower of things we’re responsible for we just might lose it.

So, how do you ensure that you don’t go crazy when your kid leaves the toys out or the dog pukes yet again by the back door?

3 Quick Ways Moms and Dads Can Battle Chaos

1. Make time for yourself.

Yeah, blah-blah-blah. We know. You’ve heard it all before. How do you make time for yourself when you can’t even find time to fit in everything that needs to be done? In a recent poll, 60% of moms said that they don’t have enough time to get everything done. So, we get it. However, taking just 10 minutes of quiet time to yourself can refresh and re-energize. If that means getting up earlier in the morning to just sip coffee in the peace and quiet of pre-dawn, then do it!

2. Plan ahead.

One of the biggest stressors is having those last minute requests or happenings that are caused by lack of planning. (If you’ve ever worked on a school project with your kid the night before it’s due, you get what I’m talking about.) Take one day out of every week to plan for the next week–including putting events on a family calendar, looking ahead at your kids’ events and appointments and even planning a few meals. A couple of hours of planning on the weekend can save your sanity during the week.

3. Find better ways to multitask.

Face it, multitasking is the mantra of busy parents. So, you better find the best ways to do it to save you the most time. One of my recent discoveries is the DS6670-6C VTech phone. The super cool DS6670-6C headset is multitasking at its finest. Now, I can chop vegetables, clean up around the house and even work on my blog, all while following up on calls hands-free! Seriously. It’s like adding an additional set of arms and hands to my body! And, what parent couldn’t use an extra set of hands? And, get this, with the VTech’s Connect to Cell technology, my husband and I can both use it with each of our cell phones! No more searching for my phone at home when it’s ringing in another room. I can just connect to it directly with the VTech Headset. (I know. Couldn’t you die?)

Check this out:

You can get your own DS6670-6C EXCLUSIVELY (yep, only there!) online at www.vtechphones.com! Go on! Get to multitasking now!
