St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Doughnuts

When we think of St. Patrick’s Day we often think of it in the grown-up sense–you know, green beer and … well, green beer. However, there’s no need to leave the kids out of the holiday.(Because, dude, there is more to life than green beer. For real.)

If you want to have some fun with the kiddos for St. Patrick’s Day,  make some “leprechaun doughnuts” from FamilyFun. They’re cute, fun and a super simple way to incorporate some hands-on creating with the holiday.

Directions

    For Chocolate Sprinkle Doughnuts:
  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 15-30 seconds.
  2. Dip the tops of O-shaped cereal into melted dark or white chocolate (the tines of a fork work well for this) and cover with sprinkles.
  3. For Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts:
  4. Over medium-high heat, dissolve ½ cup sugar in ½ cup water. Let it cool.
  5. Dip the O’s, a few at a time, in the syrup, then toss them in a small bowl of cinnamon sugar.
