Kate Patten | General Contributor

A Certified Professional Life and Family Coach, Kate has worked with youth and families, in a range of settings and in different capacities, for more than fifteen years. Her own childhood and young adult experiences are what led to her passion and desire to work with individuals and families, and directed her to her studies and professional experiences.
Kate works with individuals, youth & families, from around the world, through her private practice and as a faculty coach with New Jersey’s Family and Youth Leadership Academy. Through her 12-week Signature Development Coaching Program, Kate guides clients as they gain greater self-awareness and personal development skills that carry over into their personal and professional lives. Kate offers support and guidance as she works together with her clients to formulate an individualized plan of action that meets her clients’ specific needs and allows them to successfully move forward and achieve the goals and life desires that they envision.
Additionally, Kate serves on the Board of Directors of Youth M.O.V.E. National (the M.O.V.E. stands for Motivating Others through Voices of Experience) and she has also worked with The National Leadership Council on African American Behavioral Health and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
In her free time, Kate enjoys participating in a wide range of outdoor activities – as long as the sun is shining and it is warm outside – and, most importantly, spending time with her husband and son, and their bull mastiff, Chloe. She also loves to travel; she has lived in six different countries and traveled to others.
