How to Carve a Turkey

Carving the turkey seems to scare almost everyone. We’ve actually had arguments about it at my house about it. (I use a carving knifeduh--my husband insists on using an electric knife like you would use for ham–sigh.) Early on, it seemed like such a big deal. Now, after years of hosting Thanksgiving, it just doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. (He’s worn me down.)

If you’re intimidated by carving the turkey just remember this, no one will remember (or care) how it’s carved once they start eating it!

Turkey Tip: To get those nice, clean, diagonal breast slices, cut the legs (at the joint) off and also remove the wings before cutting the breast
